Roast Chicken with Paprika

Description

Paprika and Chicken go together, especially when roasted together as in this very simple recipe...

Ingredients

1
Chicken (Whole Medium or Large)
50 grams
Butter
1
Lemon
1 tablespoon
Paprika (Generous)
2 tablespoons
Sour Cream (Large)

Instructions

  1. Fire up the oven to 200 degrees Centigrade.
  2. Brush the chicken all over the melted button and salt.
  3. Squeeze that lemon all over the chicken.
  4. Now dust the entire chicken with Paprika.
  5. Place in the oven beast-side facing upwards and then roast for an hour.
  6. Check if the bird is cooked by checking that the juices run clear.  When done...
  7. Carve and keep it chunky (none of those frilly thin slices, keep it juicy and chunky).
  8. Mix the sour cream into the Paprika juices, and then drizzle over the chunks and serve.
  9. So simple, but so delicious.

Notes

Carving Tip: Go chunky, none of these thin measly slices.  Remove the breasts and chunk down, separate the thighs and drumsticks.
